Research conducted by the LGF laboratory focuses mainly on the shaping and sintering stages of ceramics. Accordingly, the laboratory has equipment for shaping parts by pressing or slip casting, and for preparing suspensions. Additive manufacturing machines are also available to study shaping by stereolithography, robocasting, and fused filament fabrication. For sintering, various furnaces enable heat treatments in air or under a controlled atmosphere. A laboratory dedicated to microwave sintering brings together various instrumented microwave cavities (single-mode and multimode cavities). Characterization capabilities complement this equipment: rheological characterization of suspensions, and sintering characterization by dilatometry with and without contact (dilatometers and optical
