Led by Marc LEGROS (CEMES), it was co-organized by Anna FRACZKIEWICZ (LGF) and Pierre-Antoine GESLIN (MATEIS). It received co-funding from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insis.cnrs.fr\/fr\">CNRS Institute for Engineering and Systems Sciences (INSIS)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\">CNRS<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insis.cnrs.fr\/fr\/les-groupements-de-recherche\">GDR 2048 &#8211; HEA<\/a>, as well as financial support from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rnm-metallurgie.fr\/\">National Metallurgy Network<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The school attracted over 60 participants, including doctoral students, engineers, and researchers. Its program covered the field of physical metallurgy &#8220;at the service&#8221; of new alloys (HEAs). Among the speakers were four members of the LGF: Andras BORBELY (lecture on <em>&#8220;X-ray Diffraction&#8221;<\/em>), Anna FRACZKIEWICZ (lecture on <em>&#8220;Design and Development of Concentrated Alloys&#8221;<\/em>), Quentin GAILLARD (presentation on <em>&#8220;Additive Manufacturing of Metallic Alloys&#8221;<\/em>), and Ayobami DARAMOLA (presentation of thesis results, <em>&#8220;Atomic-scale Simulation of Dislocations in a CrFeMnNi Family HEA Alloy&#8221;<\/em>).  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also worth noting that Mathieu TRAVERSIER, a doctoral student at the laboratory, was awarded a best poster prize for his thesis work entitled <em>&#8220;Influence of Nitrogen on the Mechanical Strength of Cobalt-free HEAs at Different Temperatures&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/lgf.mines-stetienne.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/ecole-d-ete-hea-poster-2-1024x577.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6119\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lgf.mines-stetienne.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/ecole-d-ete-hea-poster-2-1024x577.png 1024w, https:\/\/lgf.mines-stetienne.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/ecole-d-ete-hea-poster-2-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/lgf.mines-stetienne.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/ecole-d-ete-hea-poster-2-768x433.png 768w, https:\/\/lgf.mines-stetienne.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/ecole-d-ete-hea-poster-2.png 1050w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">The jury and the <strong>winners<\/strong> of the Best Poster Prize (sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rnm-metallurgie.fr\/\">National Metallurgy Network<\/a>).
