Gustav Eirich Awards for Audrey Tixier

Ms. Audrey Tixier, winner of the 2023 GFC Best Thesis Award, received first prize at the 2023 Gustav Eirich Awards for her work on the formulation and modeling of the shaping of SiC-based refractory tiles for waste-to-energy units. Her research was conducted at CEMHTI-CNRS Orléans and LGF Mines de St Etienne in collaboration with the refractory company BONY and VEOLIA.

Audrey had the pleasure of receiving this award and the honor of presenting her research during the Unified International Technical Conference on Refractories (Unitecr), held from September 26 to 29, 2023, in Frankfurt, Germany.

Audrey Tixier completed her thesis within the MPE team, where she was supervised by François Valdivieso and Patrick Ganster, and defended it in October 2022.
