Best GFC photo award for Ulysse Gaumet

During the Annual Meeting of the French Ceramics Group 2024, Ulysse Gaumet, a PhD student at the laboratory, won the award for best photograph with his photo entitled Chestnut burr. This photo had already won the Armand Jacquet Award of SF2M in 2023. His doctoral research focuses on the rapid shaping and sintering of ceramic and metallic parts applied to the field of crafts. He is co-supervised by Jenny Faucheu (SURF), Clémence Petit (MPE) and Julien Favre (PMM).

Congratulations.

The GFC Annual Meeting, held in Saint-Étienne, was also an opportunity for the LGF to present the latest work carried out at the laboratory in the field of ceramic materials. Thus, PhD students Ulysse Gaumet, Jnanesh Gopale Gowda and Romain Journiac were able to present their ongoing doctoral research. The doctoral research of Nouhaila Khalile, a former PhD student at the LGF, and the work carried out by Petra Simonova during her stay at the laboratory at the end of 2023 were also presented.
