This image shows the morphology of a copper monoxide powder grain observed using scanning electron microscopy. It can be seen that, far from being smooth and spherical, this powder grain has a complex morphology, in particular a large surface area in contact with its environment, which affects the grain’s reactivity. This image comes from the PhD research of Aymen MIALI.
